What is left to be done

Hello and welcome to the third weekly Devlog of Omnicrafter! First, allow me to apologize for the delay – I’ve had a busy week, both working on the project and dealing with other real life issues. Today is going to be a shorter devlog, but one that should provide some useful information.

Currently, I am working on making a playable prototype which will be available for free to everyone. If the prototype is received well enough, then I will turn Omnicrafter into a fully fledged game with more advanced concepts as noted in last week’s log.

Today, I am going to go over what still needs to be done in order for the prototype to be finished and available to the general public. I have been keeping a ‘to-do’ list for what could be considered the minimum viable product (MVP) of Omnicrafter, and to keep this simple, I will be sharing it here. Tasks marked as complete are just about finished, barring any minor tweaks. Tasks marked as in progress have been started. Tasks marked as incomplete have yet to be started at all.

As you can see, most tasks have at least been worked on in some capacity, with those remaining untouched largely being due to not having assets or the prerequisite tasks not yet being complete. Currently, I am working on finishing off all of the resources and building types, and from there I plan on moving on to finishing the GUI. I feel as though I am making decent progress so far, and the prototype should be finished sometime in the next few months, though I am hesitant to announce a hard release date at this stage.

As ever, if you have any questions, please leave a comment below or send me a private message on itch.io. Have a great week!
